Some meals will be provided, but not all days include meals. We recommend bringing money for additional meals or snacks. Harvard Square has a wide range of dining options, including quick-service restaurants, cafés, and sit-down eateries.

What is the tuition for the program and what does it include?

Tuition for the Summer Journalism Academy In-Person Program is $950. For the Virtual Option it is $750. This includes participation in all the programmed activities, mentorship from Crimson Editors, talks with world-class journalists, and some meals. It does not include hotel or accommodation.

We also offer generous financial aid and discounts for group registrants!

If you filled out the form and your payment went through then you are all set! Do not worry if you have not yet received further correspondence. Further information will be sent out as we lead up to the academy.

How do I apply for financial aid?

To apply for financial aid, visit the financial aid application pages for the conference you are registering for. You must submit a 1099 Tax Form with your parent’s financial information, along with any other relevant financial documents. If you are from outside the United States, please submit the equivalent of an Income Tax Return.
